Our History:

     Our experience in the construction industry started in 1986 when owner Jim Zehm started working for Dagenhardt Home Improvement (DHI), in the Madison, WI area. He spent 3 years working for and learning from DHI before starting his own roofing company and also working with local builders and homeowners.
     In 1992 Jim and his brother Mike moved to the St. Paul area, each working for different contractors and began completing roofing jobs as independent contractors. Zehm Bros. Construction was born in 1996 when the brothers partnered their industry and business experience. In 1999 Mel joined the company working in the siding division.
     The summer of 2001 became a major benchmark for our company, as we built our first home in Hudson, WI and began completing larger remodeling projects. Since then we have continued to offer a wide range of services, from small projects, such as tiling an entryway or a window replacement, all the way up to large additions and whole house remodels.
     Zehm Bros. Construction has been blessed with numerous awards since starting our construction business, but the most rewarding is new for us; in 2006 ZBC was recognized to be a Master Elite Contractor, by GAF Roofing Manufacturer. "The Master Elite status is huge for a small family business like ours because less than 2 out of every 100 roofing companies receive this status." says Jim.
